Sitting here in my still very quiet house waiting for time to go to my 4th day meeting. I've read this morning's Upper Room as usual. (Very convenient to have it sent directly to my email daily!)

I really look forward to these short get-togethers. To join in informal fellowship other Emmaus people is REALLY good. It is a reminder. It is a "battery charger." It is at once a way to give to others in spiritual support and friendship, and to receive encouragement from them.

It seems amazing to me that it is sooooo difficult coming up with a time that a majority of our local Emmaus members can meet. We have a large number here who have gone on the walk, and yet we seem to gather only a very few at a 4th day session. Sometimes, we have as few as one show up! I know we all have busy lives, but.........
