Yeah, I'm thankful for "the usual stuff" like family, friends, possessions, and all that.
I'm also thankful that I can get up every morning and go to a job I really don't like. I know there are many people today who would just love to have any kind of a job but don't.
I am thankful for family members who are beating down some serious problems and coming out really good. Prayer does work.
I am thankful for some of the conflicts in our church. It has made me get a bit more involved and actually brought me a bit closer to God.
I am thankful for a daughter who lives so far away that I only get to see her a couple times a year. I know she is growing stronger and more independent. (Now, if we can just get her back into church!)
I am thankful for a wife who is now among the unemployed. She deserves a little time off and can maybe relax just a bit now before the next job comes along.
Mostly I am thankful for God, who lets me see the positives in the stumbling blocks that are sometimes put in my path.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
