Moving on

For all those who are not happy with last night's results, you have options. You can editorialize. You can organize. You can protest. You can even move away. But this is the greatest nation in the world. Regardless of who our President is at present. If you have strong political beliefs, you will have to agree that we have had some lousy Presidents in history. And we have survived them. You may think that the 'good' or 'bad' Presidents are the opposite ones that I do, but that's fine. That is the crux of what makes this country great.

This country is in a quagmire. We need people with ideas and integrity. We need honesty and action. Pray for our government to have people where they need to be that can do and be what is needed. We can do so much good in the world. We need to get over our differences, pick up and move forward. Anger, fear, hatred and personal attacks are cheap and easy. They also are not what God would have us do.

"Love the Lord your God with all of you heart, all of your soul and all of your strength. And love your neighbor as yourself."

Love your neighbor...

Let's just do as we're told. The rest will sort itself out...

  1. It's really quite an odd feeling I am left with. My candidate did not win the election, but I am left with a very optimistic sense of hope.

With enough "blame" to go around to all concerned over the past (Dare I say it?) 20-30 years, I have this feeling that God has once again stuck His fingers in and stirred things up in a way that He can see working for His purposes. I don't quite see it yet myself, but I do believe I will.
