Been thinking about how well blessed I am. Especially in light of the past couple of weeks.
I was supposed to work the men's walk, but had a really nasty cold or flu or whutever. I went to the doctor with it (which I almost never do unless ready to die) and God arranged to have Timm and Laurie meet me there to let me know they had plenty of people to work and I could stay home and try to get better. Kinda nice to know for absolute certainty that He is watching over me.
Then, after being able to attend the two Saturday evening services and the closing service for the Women's Walk....... Well, let's just say the feelings and experiences of my own walk came flooding back into my life. I feel God's love and presence in my life daily, but the Emmaus services really brought it to the fore again.
I also had an opportunity to help someone last Sunday that was a total stranger. I won't go into details, but God and I (mostly God) were able to bring a small amount of comfort to a person in a time of great sorrow. There can be no better feeling than to help someone else in the name of our Lord and Savior.
I am truly blessed.
