A quiet, contemplative way to move into Christmas when the celebrations grow cold because of loss of loved ones, the pain of illness or grief, the separation from family, the struggles of economy. Sometimes, we need to be in anticipation of hope without the expectation that joy is showing on our faces and being sung through our voices. This is a time to gather, reflect, listen to a variety of great music with a "blue side", and know that in the Christ there is deep hope. Bring friends who may be struggling with Christmas and find sanctuary at PCHUM.I will be there. Partly because I do feel a bit blue over the whole job thing, but partly because I want to see what it will be like. Anyone that wants to join me is welcome. I am not sure anyone will even SEE this before the service, but if you do, and want to brave the roads, I would be happy to see you there. If not - no worries.
Merry Christmas.
