Men -
I had the pleasure of being at last night's Candlelight Service and at (most of) tonight's closing service for the Walk in Delton. I can say with complete confidence that this was a great Walk. I had a friend there as a pilgrim and I look forward to getting his personal views on it, but from where I was sitting, they had an experience similar to ours. It renewed in me (not that I had ever 'come down' in the first place) the fire, the feeling of just how special this movement is and what it can do for people's lives. God was in that room with those men. Jesus was speaking to them via the unfolding of the weekend and the words of the speakers. The Holy Spirit was evident in abundance in their faces and in their words.
I saw some of the men from our walk there, but not as many as I thought I might have.
I get busy, too. Some people are much further away than I was with a 30 minute drive. Kids' have sports, jobs have demands and committee metting need to be held. I understand.
But remember what it meant to you that total strangers served so you could have the experience. Those strangers should be us. I am serving on next week's walk, when my wife will be a pilgrim. I am so excited for her to have this blessed experience.
Please pray for the walk next week. Pray for those women to have a weekend filled with love, discovery, and joy. Pray for God to put the words in the mouths of the speakers and for the Holy Spirit to overwhelm the ladies for each of the 72 hours.
If you can make the time to come down for the Candlelight Service, it would be great. We had a decent turnout last night, but there was plenty of room for more. Let's fill it to overflowing.
There are also slots that still need to be filled for the Prayer Vigil for the weekend. Copy and paste:

to be a part of this very special ministry.
Men - you remember what this meant to you and how it lifted you. Pass it on, stoke it up and spread this around. This is a good thing. You know it is what you should be doing.
