Hi Men,
It's been just five days since we all got home. It was nice to get an excited phone call from Troy Monday. I went to the weekend with a prayer on my heart. It's been over three years since I was last a part of an accountability group. Brian Casey approached me on Sunday to see if I was amenable to meeting with him. He called on Monday afternoon and we met that day, and again on Wednesday. This is going to be so very good for both of us. But for me, it is especially sweet to have the Lord answer my prayer through Brian reaching out to me.
Having never served in the Kalamazoo Area Emmaus before, I had a scripture running through my peaceful heart. "I was a stranger, and you welcomed me." I felt the love and grace-filled welcome you men would have reserved for Jesus. I was deeply touched and grateful.
In Christ's Love,
Glenn
Hi Glenn,
ReplyDeleteThanks for serving and "welcome back". I know the clergy has a lot of demands on their time, but feel very blessed that you were able to join us and hope you can join us in the future.

Glenn,
ReplyDeleteThank you for taking time out of your life and busy schedule to work walk #71.
I think almost all of us came to the walk with some feelings of trepidation about the weekend. One of the greatest things about the weekend though we all arrived as strangers we left as brothers and as one body in Christ.
Thank you for playing a part in making that happen.
