Some People Don't Have a Clue

“Some people just don’t have a clue.” You heard it; you’ve probably even said it. But it’s true; there are those out there and even some close to us that just don’t get it. Of course that “it” can be anything from a life saving understanding of the universe or not knowing which handle is for the hot or cold water.

But where did they miss being taught the basic fundamentals of common sense? Is it something you’re born with (or not), learned at home, like you’re “ABCs” or in church or at school?

I just don’t understand. You see these people are in the news, in the paper, magazines and even on television. Why some networks even have shows dedicated to the results of these peoples actions. And we love to watch!
They are even mentioned in the Bible. Jesus talked about them, you know, “Those that have ears can’t hear…” Well, duh, everyone has ears, so why can’t they hear? Because they don’t have a clue. But many then and now still can’t see nor hear the message of the Gospel.

Even when you try to explain, show by your life, they just can’t seem to get “it.” They just continue to follow the life they have become accustomed to and can’t see nor hear of a better way. Yet they are lost and don’t even know it. Just the mention of God or Jesus and they look at you with dismay. You’ll get the look of “You’re trying to cheer me up with fairy tales?” or “Don’t throw you religious brain washing tripe at me.” And then they will continue to be restless and overcome by all life’s problems and complain with each breath they take.

As we awake each day, take the time to look and see; from the rising to the setting sun. Look up in the sky at night; see the stars and vastness of the universe, knowing it was created by a loving God and not just mysteriously happened by accident.

Stop from your busy schedule, close your eyes and listen. Screen out the noise of the traffic, the television and radio, stop and listen to the birds, frogs or even the buzzing fly… all created for a purpose from a living God for the balance of His kingdom.

It is my prayer that everyone could get “it” – the knowledge of the risen savior, Jesus Christ, son of God. And they would understand that you can be clueless and God still loves you anyway and so do I. ~ Rocky

  1. Amen, Rocky.

But I've found that the Lord has a lesson for us in these folks. As Brian Casey says, "Just Love Them".

I believe Satan uses these folks to tempt Christians to grab them by the lapels and shake some sense into them. And, of course, when we do, we take our eyes of God and focus on our own actions; and, as usual, we stop listening. And then the world says: "Look! A hypocritical religious nut! I told you! They're no better than you!"

But when we just love them; when we make an observation and then forgive them; when we don't let ourselves be like them... the Holy Spirit will start to speak to some of them.

God is in charge. God already knows who they are; He doesn't need us to point them out. If we just Love, and draw closer to Christ - God will use us to get to them. And some will awaken.

I've seen it happen - and it is so very, very sweet.

    God Bless,
    Ken
